Tackling Anti Social behaviour and feelings of safety
Action taken:
July starts 3 months of action within our town centres where we will look to conduct a number of activities to make our town centres a safer place to be #SaferTownsSummer. We have had a number of specialist recourses on site patrolling to prevent anti social behaviour from taking place, We continue to work with partner to ban individuals who act in an anti social manner whilst on the site and to support the banning process. This has seen a significant reduction and ASB offences occurring on site. We will soon be starting 2 weeks of action known as Mischief fortnight. This intensification week will look to provide increased ASB patrols as well as working with schools and businesses to reduce ASB.

Taking robust action to tackle vehicle crime
Action taken:
We have taken steps to tackle vehicle crime within the vicinity which has resulted in a 30% reduction in vehicle crime compared to last year. We will be sending out messaging in due course and provide advice around how to protect your cars and motorbikes from theft.

Hot spot for business crime and theft related offences
Action taken:
Solihull Police will soon be implementing a Retail Crime Team which will specialise in dealing with all shop theft offences across the Solihull borough. This will provide greater expertise to build relationships with businesses as well as targeting key offenders. Dedicated Neighbourhood officers have been patrolling and visiting shops in your area as well as providing advice of how to report crimes. This has led to a greater increase in confidence to report crime.
