  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    SEDGLEY:
We are continuing to receive reports of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) on the High Street, Sedgley, which involves small groups of youths causing a general nuisance to members of the public. The groups hanging around the High Street are causing issues in a number of food outlets.

There also appears to be an ongoing issue of speeding vehicles on the Northway, as we are seeing an increase of reports regarding this.

    Issued 29 May 2026

    Action taken:

We have been tackling Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in and around the High Street. Co-operation from local businesses have proven to bring forth positive identification of offenders, allowing us to pursue warnings and beyond, should they be known/repeat offenders. We also have the support of other teams, providing support for patrols when we are on rest days. Dudley North Neighbourhood Team have been carrying out a number of plain clothes patrols around the area, in order to identify any offenders. We will continue to take a proactive stance towards the ASB issues.

Community Speedwatch will also be utilised around the Sedgley area, in order to issues warnings to speeding motorists. A number of these have already been carried out and have been received well within the community.

With the Summer months and lighter nights now approaching, we will see a rise in demand and calls for service, and we will endeavour to include all hotspots in our patrol strategies.

  • Priority:

    UPPER GORNAL & WOODSETTON:
There have been reports of youths causing Anti-Social Behaviour, and possible drug dealing in various parts of the Upper Gornal and Woodsetton ward. ASB is also being reported to us on the precinct area in Upper Gornal.

Speeding vehicles have been reported on various main roads around the area, which are potentially causing dangerous driving conditions for other road users. Off-road bikes have also been brought to our attention again.

There has also been an increase in reports of shoplifting in the local area.

    Issued 29 May 2026

    Action taken:

Targeted patrols will continue in our hotspot areas in order to deter youths hanging around and causing ASB issues. We have been actively engaging with any youths seen out and about, and educating them to the issues that they are causing.

Community Speedwatches will be taking place and drivers will be given warnings and/or educated regarding their actions.

Increased patrols will be taking place around the local shops to prevent further shoplifting offences, as well as plain clothes operations. A number of shop lifting offenders have recently been arrested due to the Dudley North Neighbourhood Team taking a proactive stance against this issue.

With the Summer months approaching, we will see an increase in our demand and calls for service, so all hotspots for any emerging issues will be included in our patrol strategies accordingly.

  • Priority:

    COSELEY:
We are still receiving reports about off-road bikes in the area. There have also been a number of calls for service for groups of youths hanging around and causing Anti-Social Behaviour by Jubilee Park, and surrounding areas.

There have also been a number of sporadic reports of drug dealing within the area.

    Issued 29 May 2026

    Action taken:

An increase in reports of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) has lead to increased patrols and the Dudley North Neighbourhood Team have been deployed in the public order van to monitor locations and move on anyone suspected to be causing ASB. Our presence will hopefully help to deter future problems. Officers have also been deployed in plain clothes at various locations. Officers are engaging with any youths that are seen out and about, and educating them about the issues that they are causing.

We will hopefully be working along side the DMBC ASB team, and with their drone operator to potentially identify where off-road bikes are coming from.

With the lighter nights fast approaching, this will mean an increase in our demand and calls for service, so the Neighbourhood Team will include any emerging hotspot areas in their patrol strategies to hopefully prevent ongoing issues.

    Actioned 29 May 2026

  • Priority:

    LOWER GORNAL:
We are still receiving numerous reports of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in the Lower Gornal area. This includes on Abbey park and around the local shops.

There have also been an increased number of reports of shoplifting.

We are still receiving reports regarding school parking, which is causing obstructions for other road users, and also speeding vehicles around various school sites.

    Issued 29 May 2026

    Action taken:

We are still focusing on increasing patrols to help reduce the ASB issues in the area. We have also been working with the public and partner agencies to identify a number of the youths. We are actively engaging with any youths that we see out and about, and educating them about the problems that they are causing for the general public. A number of arrests have been made so this will hopefully help to deter future problems.

Patrols are taking place around the local shops in order to prevent further shoplifting offences. We have also conducted a number of plain clothes operations. A number of shop lifting offenders have been arrested recently as a result of the Dudley North Neighbourhood Team being proactive in the area.

We are working with the parking enforcement team to enable a joint approach to the ongoing school parking issues. Community Speedwatches will also be taking place across the area and warnings issued accordingly. A number of Speedwatches have already been conducted and have been well received within the community.

With the Summer months and lighter nights fast approaching, this will bring an increase in our demand and calls for service, so the Dudley North Neighbourhood Team will work to include any emerging hotspots in our patrol strategies to prevent ongoing issues.
