There have been reports of vehicles obstructing the public highway and vehicles with no tax across the ward area. This inconveniences members of the community, the general public and can look unsightly.

Throughout May into June, officers have patrolled Washwood Heath and given numerous tickets to vehicle causing an obstruction and seized vehicles.
Operations in conjunction with traffic enforcement from BCC have been conducted. With vehicles being seized and tickets issued.
Officers have regularly patrolled Alum Rock Road especially with the build up to the Chand Raat and advised drivers about causing an obstruction on the road especially at junctions and parking on Zig Zag lines, vehicles were also issued with fixed penalty notices.

Officers from Washwood Heath have completed Junior PCSO sessions at Leigh Primary School & The Rosary Catholic Primary School. Inputs around knife crime & online safety have been presented by Washwood Heath NHT at Highfield School, Waverley Secondary School, Rockwood Academy and Thornton Primary School.
