Reduce retail crime across Tyburn’s three major retail parks (Ravenside, Castle Vale, and The Fort) by working collaboratively with partners to target prolific offenders, develop and deliver an effective crime?prevention strategy, and strengthen public trust and confidence in the police.
Action taken:
In order to tackle retail crime across Tyburn we have been working closely with our Retail Crime Team and conducting plain clothes operations around the busy retail parks within the area. With the Retail Crime Team and the support of businesses affected by theft we have identified and arrested numerous prolific shop lifters and continue to police the area to minimize disruption to businesses.

Address persistent anti?social behaviour by repeat offenders through collaboration with Birmingham City Council and partner agencies, implementing proportionate enforcement strategies for individuals who continue to negatively impact the daily lives of the community.
Action taken:
We have been targeting anti social behaviour throughout the school holidays, and have been targeting those responsible for disorder around the area. We have identified much of the anti social behaviour as being youth led. To combat this we have been working with housing to identify offenders and issue warning letters regarding tenancy breaches to those involved.

Work with West Midlands Police Road Safety partners and external agencies to improve road safety across Tyburn, with a particular focus on Compton and Oval Road
Action taken:
To tackle road safety we have conducted a number of operations around the Compton and Oval road where we have identified multiple vehicles which have been used in anti social behaviour. We have stopped a number of these vehicles and seized them when grounds have permitted us to do so. Additionally a number of vehicles have been seized for no tax.
