Reduce retail crime across Tyburn’s three major retail parks (Ravenside, Castle Vale, and The Fort) by working collaboratively with partners to target prolific offenders, develop and deliver an effective crime?prevention strategy, and strengthen public trust and confidence in the police.

We have taken pro-active measures this month in order to reduce offending in and around our retail parks. This being accomplished by plain clothes operations in order to apprehend offenders on site. We have had numerous theft relating arrests this month with multiple charges being authorised and suspect currently being tried through the criminal justice process.

Address persistent anti?social behaviour by repeat offenders through collaboration with Birmingham City Council and partner agencies, implementing proportionate enforcement strategies for individuals who continue to negatively impact the daily lives of the community.

We have noticed there being a spike in business related anti social behaviour over the half term holidays and with the better weather conditions. To tackle this we have been linking in with our business being affected and provided preventative advice. We have additionally been proactive with identifying offenders and ensuring appropriate action is taken to prevent re-offending. We have ongoing partnership working with Birmingham City Councils officers and are conducting joint patrols around the area.

Work with West Midlands Police Road Safety partners and external agencies to improve road safety across Tyburn, with a particular focus on schools

Road safety remains a priority with a vehicle operation conducted at the Fort Shopping centre. This has been a proactive approach to tackling vehicle crime such as illegal number plates, window tints, no seatbelts, speeding etc. High visibility patrols around school are continues with vehicle speeding operation also completed with positive outcomes.
