Vehicle Crime - An increase in vehicle crime within the Kings Norton ward area ( as of 20 July this increase was 10% compared to last year ).
Issued 21 July 2026
The local dedicated neighbourhood officers will be paying attention and conducting patrols in key locations. A key arrest was made in mid June of a person breaking into vehicles in the West Heath/Kings Norton area. A reduction in offences has taken place since this arrest. There is a lot of crime prevention vehicle crime advice available on the WMP website - consider using steering locks even if only popping into a shop or visiting a friend for a short time. Please do not leave anything of value on show in your vehicle - 'leave it on show, expect it to go !'
If you have any information of who may be involved please inform us via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. Your local PCSOs are available if you would like any further advice.
