Man charged in connection with Birmingham city centre stabbing

A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Birmingham city centre.
We were called to Centenary Square, shortly after 2.30pm on Thursday (11 June), where two men in their 20s were found injured.
One suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where his condition is now described as stable.
The second suffered less serious injuries to his hand.
Abdulwasi Ahmadi has been charged with wounding with intent, and causing actual bodily harm. The 22-year-old was remanded into custody and is set to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (15 June).
A second man, aged 21, has been bailed pending further enquiries into the investigation.
Local officers remain in the area for reassurance, and we urge anyone with concerns to speak to them.
