Following England’s win last night, our roads policing officers were out bright and early this morning breathalysing drivers on their way to work.
We stopped over 70 vehicles on the Duncan Edwards Road in Dudley.

We're pleased to say that no drivers were found to be over the drink-drive limit.
One vehicle was seized for having no insurance, while seven drivers were reported for illegal window tints or number plates.
Later kick-off times and extended licensing hours mean many people are consuming more alcohol.
Please remember that alcohol can remain in your system for several hours and may still impair your driving the next morning.
Driving under the influence puts lives at risk - your own, your passengers, and other road users. The penalties are serious: arrest, driving ban, fine, and a criminal record.
Our advice to all drivers and football fans:
• Plan ahead and arrange alternative transport if you intend to drink
• Use taxis or public transport to get to work
• Leave your vehicle at home if you’ve consumed alcohol
• Never take the risk even if you 'feel fine' to drive
Enjoy the World Cup responsibly. Don’t drink and drive.
Our officers will continue to carry out drink-drive operations throughout the tournament.
Stay safe on the roads.
