My name is Nazia Kauser, and I am proud to introduce myself as the new ( joined the team in November 2025) Neighbourhood Inspector for the East Sector of Walsall.
I am honoured to have the opportunity to serve the wards of Aldridge North & Walsall Wood, Aldridge Central & South, Streetly, Pheasey, Brownhills, Rushall Shelfield, and Pelsall.
I began my policing career in January 2009 as a Police Officer, following three years of service as a Police Staff Member starting in 2006. My experience spans core frontline policing roles, including Response Policing, Neighbourhood Policing, and Custody. These roles have enabled me to build trust and confidence within the communities I’ve served, working collaboratively with residents and partners to keep people safe.
Before joining West Midlands Police, I served with Nottinghamshire Police from 2009 to 2025. Most recently, I held the position of a Response Policing Inspector. Prior to that, I was the Neighbourhood Sergeant for the Sherwood area of Nottingham, where I led visible community policing and implemented problem-solving initiatives that addressed local issues and delivered lasting positive outcomes.
Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Honours degree specialising in Criminal Justice systems from Nottingham Trent University (2000–2003), a Postgraduate Certificate (2004) in Social Science Research Methods, a Policing degree from De Montford University (2010) , and I am qualified in Coaching and Mentoring ILM level 5 (Institute of Leadership and Management).
In today’s complex and ever-changing environment, I believe that strong partnerships and community engagement are key to navigating challenges and driving meaningful change. West Midlands Police, alongside our wide network of partners, is well-equipped with the resources and commitment needed to make a real difference.
I am looking forward to working closely with local residents and our policing partners. My commitment to you is built on three core priorities:
Community Engagement – Enhancing visibility and building relationships through meaningful interaction.
Problem Solving – Collaborating with partners and communities to address and resolve local issues.
Targeted Activity – Focusing efforts on crime hotspots and persistent offenders through proactive operations and increased visibility.
I take full responsibility and ownership in delivering a high-quality policing service. Together, we will work to make our communities safer and stronger.
