    Burglary

    Action taken:

    It goes without saying that everyone should feel safe in their home, and it is important to underline that the great majority of the time, people’s homes are safe. However we recognise that burglary is a very traumatic and impactive experience so will prioritise not only the way we respond to reports of burglary, but the way we try to prevent it happening in the first place. We will combine intelligence led proactive patrols, targeting of offenders, crime prevention initiatives and wraparound victim care to focus on reducing the occurrence and impact of burglary.

    31/10/25 - With darker nights approaching, officers have been passing out advice to local residents about how to ensure they are not seen as an easy target. Please attend our next scheduled beat surgery for some free advice and gadgets to keep your home safe
    26/11 -Targeted patrols to combat offences. We are holding regular beat surgeries to give crime prevention advice to local residents . Our Street Watch volunteers have supported burglary patrols in the evenings
    22/12/25 - Burglary patrols remain a priority for the team and we have had force support teams on the area overnight.
    Our community Beat Surgeries have been burglary and vehicle crime focused, giving crime prevention materials and advice
    19/01/2026- Targeted patrols have been completed by the team over the last work with some proactive results around suspicious vehicles occurring as seen on our social media. Street Watch Volunteers have been supporting patrols in key areas and we appreciate the support from the public.
    26/02/26 - Tackling Burglary remains a priority. We have had the support of force resources patrolling at key times. We have seen an increase in daytime burglaries where family gold has been the target. We have been speaking to residents and checking CCTV to help with investigations. We are offering burglary prevention advice at all of our beat surgeries
    22/03/2026- We have seen a reduction in Burglaries over the past month. Suspects have been identified and charged for offences across Solihull and we continue to conduct targeted patrols in key locations. With the lighter nights coming in it is important to remember to keep doors and windows locked overnight to deter offenders.
    27/04/2026- Officers have been involved in tackling Burglary and offences of similar nature this month. LEOS have been involved in a joint operation resulting in the arrest and dealing of 3 suspects involved in a number of Theft Of Motor Vehicle offences. There has also been 3 further arrested for an offence that took place where officers from LEOS have identified the CCTV and vehicle leading to arrests.
    24/05/2026- There has been a reduction in burglary offences across the area and Solihull. Officers on the LEOS patch have continued with patrols in the area and been proactive to support identifying suspects for offences. We continue to see burglary as a priority in the area and ask all residents to contact police immediately should they believe a burglary is taking place.

    Domestic Abuse and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG)

    Action taken:

    In Solihull, as in the rest of West Midlands Police force area, we are dedicated to tackling and reducing domestic violence wherever it occurs and safeguarding victims from future abuse. We are also committed to raising awareness of VAWG and making our public places as safe as possible so that women and girls can enjoy everything Solihull has to offer with confidence.

    - We have conducted several Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO) checks on victims of domestic violence.

    - Supported response colleagues attending Domestic Abuse incidents

    31/10/25 - Dedicated Neighbourhood officers have been conducted further checks on victims of domestic abuse. Ensuring they have the tools to keep themselves safe and healthy. With darker nights approaching, we hope more people take advantage of free advice and safety tools to keep themselves safe.
    25/11 - We marked White Ribbon Day which aims tackle violence against women and girls by educating men about being an upstander not a bystander, We attended a Football match at Solihull Moors and spoke to staff and fans. We gave out literature and personal attack alarms as well as white ribbons to mark the day
    22/12/25 - Officers have been supporting the night time economy during party season giving out advice on staying safe on a night out and travelling home safely.
    Officers have also been patrolling open spaces at key times
    19/01/2026- Dedicated Neighbourhood officers have continued our work on support vulnerable victims including Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO) checks on victims of domestic violence. VAIWG continues to be a priority for the team.
    26/02/26 - Our officers have been patrolling public spaces and offering advice on staying safe .
    Our regular checks supporting victims continues. Our officers can provide help and advice for victims at our regular beat surgeries
    22/03/2026- Dedicated Neighbourhood Officers continue to support victims of Domestic Violence with regular checks where a Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO) is in place.
    27/04/2026- Officers have continued to work to safeguard people vulnerable of Domestic Violence. Liaising directly with victims and offering safeguarding advice and support.
    24/05/2026- Officers have continued to support victims of Domestic Violence with regular checks where a Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO) is in place. Safeguarding advice is offered on beat surgeries and in our day to day duties.

    Off -Road motorcycles in Elmdon Park

    Action taken:

    Anti-social behaviour caused by off-road bikes is regularly reported, particularly in and around Elmdon Park, and this has potential to increase as the weather improves. We want our public spaces to be enjoyed by the community in peace, comfort and safety, and so commit to tackling this problem. We will use problem solving tactics to target anti-social behaviour caused by off-road bikes, and have already conducted several operations with traffic resources and partners.

    24/06/25 - LEOS NHT have worked with partners on Traffic targeting off road bikers in and around Elmdon and Lyndon.

    - We continue to provide regular proactive patrols in and around Elmdon park

    30/07/25 - Proactive operation with WMP Traffic resulting in vehicle seizures.

    10/08/25 - Coffee with a Copper Event in Elmdon where we received positive feedback from the community telling us that the Off Road Bike issue in Elmdon Park has significantly reduced.
    10/09 We are actively recruiting for an Elmdon Park Street Watch group to help us with intelligence gathering for illegal off road bikes in the park
    12/09 We are using our messaging service WMNOW to appeal for information
    15/09 We have seen a fall in the number of calls we are getting reporting off road bike ASB in the area but we will continue to target patrols based on local information
    09/10 We have been speaking to the local community about key times when off road bike ASB happens in and around Elmdon Park. We have used that information to plan our daily patrols. We have seen a decrease in report s in the area
    31/10/25 - Not only have officers been conducting more foot patrols in the area, Elmdon Park has now established a new Street Watch group. They will be high visibility patrols that will work directly with the police.
    26/11 - We continue to patrol at key times with the support of Street Watch volunteers . Reports of off road bikes have continued to drop in the area
    22/12/25 - We haven't had any reports of off road bikes in Elmdon in recent weeks but we will continue to have a visible presence in the area. We have had a report of off road ASB in a neighbouring park which we are looking in to.
    19/01/2026- There has been a number of reports during the snowy weather of reports relating to Off-Road bikes in the area and neighbouring areas. Officers are continuing with proactive patrols in the area and will see specialist teams looking to tackle the issue as well. Street Watch support has continued in the area to support with a visible presence at the location.
    26.02.26 As we go in to spring we will be increasing our patrols in parks and public spaces to deter off road bike ASB

    22/03/26- Officers conducted the off-road bike operation alongside our Road Crime Reduction Team, to tackle the issues and anti-social behaviour that the off-road bikes cause. This resulted in a number of bikes seized and further prevention put in place.
    27/03/26- With warmer weather coming this month, there has been further activity from off-road bikes. Officers have identified some suspects involved and action will be taking place in the very near future! Further bike operations have occurred this month with the Road Crime Reduction Team out in Solihull looking to support local officers.
    24/05/26- Officers have taken proactive action this month by issues 2 CPWs to persons identified in anti-social behaviour in parks to assist in reduction of the issue. This could not happen without the support of the public.

    Shop theft has risen recently particularly around Lyndon Road

    Action taken:

    Officers have seen an increase in Shop Theft around Lyndon Road and Hobs Moat Road. Officers will be looking at taking proactive action to tackle prolific offenders causing issues around the location and assist local business in putting prevention measures in place.
