I am new in post as the Solihull North NHT Manager, back where my supervisory journey started 22 years ago. I have a broad range of Policing experience with 28 years service both WMP and the Metropolitan Police. I have served the public in a number of roles, most recently as a Detective Inspector within our Public Protection Unit and in Operations as Head of the Football Unit. I have lead NHT's in Shirley, Coventry, Digbeth and Birmingham City Centre.
I therefore hope to bring my blend of policing skills and experience to Solihull North to tackle crime and ASB with a truly positive partnership focus on problem solving. As such I have listened to the community and set our Neighborhood objectives as:-
Reducing Robbery and public place violence - This will see our team blend a combination of intelligence lead targeted patrols with support for our CID colleagues.
Tackling antisocial use of vehicles - Off road bikes are clearly an issue of local concern. I come with a wealth of off-road motorcycle experience leading in excess of 40 proactive operations, including executing 35 warrants in a single day, covert operations and post ride out investigations under the umbrella of Operation Wraithbaine. I chair a Task and Finish group. This has enabled us to pull together all sources of intelligence into a Proactive Management Plan. We have sought the assistance of the Force Off Road Bike team and Drone in operations and we are building evidence to secure warrants.
