I joined West Midlands Police in 1999 with the initial part of my service being a Response Officer in Wolverhampton. After being promoted I then became a custody Sergeant at Sandwell. Since being promoted I have worked on a number of policing areas and across a number of roles including Neighbourhood Task Force in Birmingham East. I have also led the partnerships team at Sandwell and supervised a large city centre team in Wolverhampton.

I have lots of experience around the challenges facing communities across the West Midlands and I am a passionate advocate of neighbourhood policing and the huge difference our officers can make to communities dealing with crime and anti -social behaviour. I have worked mostly in neighbourhood roles, working with our partners and communities to problem solve.

I have only very recently taken responsibility for the Dudley East constituency and am committed to ensuring we provide an accessible service to our community that listens and acts.

My staff work from three sites at Halesowen, Sedgley and Dudley and cover the following wards:

Sedgley, Coseley, Upper Gornal, Gornal and Woodsetton covering the north of the Borough.
Castle and Priory and St James covering Dudley Town Centre
St Thomas covering Kates Hill, Netherton, Quarry Bank and Dudley Wood and
Halesowen, Hayley Green, Cradley and Wollescote and Belle Vale.

During patrols positive action will be taken by officers including enforcement (Arrest), stop and search, making referrals and other methods that will prevent and deter youths from committing acts of serious violence. Anti Social Behaviour patrols and enforcement in hotspot areas such as Claverley Court, Butterfield Court, Russells Hall Park, Milking Bank Park and Osprey Drive. We have been focusing our patrols in these areas and will look to enforce and take positive action. We have conducted a number of police surgeries and multi-agency crime prevention engagement events within the locality to provide our communities with the opportunity to engage and discuss any ASB issues with the team. We are also regularly liaising with our partners to provide a cohesive approach to dealing with persistent problems and issues

  • Priority:

    Castle & Priory - ASB & Off-road bikes

    Issued 26 July 2026

    Action taken:

The issue of dealing with anti-social behaviour is one of the main priorities for the local neighbourhood. The Dudley Central Neighbourhood Team will continue to conduct regular reassurance patrols within the locality maximising enforcement opportunities minimising anti-social behaviour and potential criminal offences. There will be a working partnership strategic focus with external agencies and internal teams to target this anti-social behaviour. Our team has and will continue to schedule operations with our off-road bike team who are part of our road crime department. We will also work with our internal and the DMBC drone team with a view to tracking those that are causing anti-social behaviour, especially those doing so on off-road bikes, back to their addresses and identifying them so that we can take appropriate action against them.

    Actioned 26 July 2026
