increase in thefts reported at stores located Stoke and Wyken, this includes Co-op Humber road , Heron foods, Ball hill road

We are carrying out a mixture of plain clothes and high visibility patrols at key locations, during the morning and afternoons. Arrests of key offenders continue as we work hard to gather evidence and apply for Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBOs).
We are working closely with local stores and offender management teams to identify and manage repeat offenders.

To remain a priority for next couple of months, targeted operations within stores, will continue , with view to deter and arrest repeat offenders causing most harm especially in the build up to Christmas

Recent increase in vehicle related offences, including a number of smash and grab offences and Theft of motor vehicles

:Targeted patrols in hotspot locations , both high visibility and plain clothes.
: Investigations recently resulted in arrest of three individuals , who have since been charged to court, whilst offending has reduced , patrols and monitoring will continue over the forthcoming month.

Crime Prevention advice given reference recent theft of EV chargers whereby chargers are being cut from vehicles whilst plugged in overnight, residents are advised to install cctv where able. Patrols remain are priority for all vehicle crime, especially smash and grabs.

We have also seen an increase in offences where vehicles have been left insecure. Please remember to double check you have locked your vehicles.

Addressing community concerns about the illegal and antisocial use of off road bikes, quad bikes and e scooters, dangerous driving, thefts and the broader impact on public safety.
Op Prosperity

We are seeing an increase in reports of off road bikes/motorbikes being used in open park spaces in Stoke and Wyken, targeted operations will be conducted with specialist traffic officers, along with joint partnership work with the council, community and housing partners.
Members of the public are encouraged to report all incidents of nuisance/ASB/dangerous riding.

further planned operations coming up for June, to remain as a priority for next month, there has been a slight in increase in stolen bikes on the ward, specialist traffic units and off road bike teams will be joining local teams to patrol hotspot areas and deposition sites

There have been several operations conducted over last month with off road bike, team, Op Advance being one of them, patrols will continue and public encouraged to report incidents/bikes/riders to the local team , will remain a priority over the summer months

This will now be a monitored Priority due to the change in weather and the darker nights and teams will respond to reports/incidents of ASB on bikes as they happen.

During the summer months, parks and open spaces experience increased footfall, creating more opportunities for robberies, ASB and violence. Officers are focusing patrols in these areas to help keep the public safe.

Local neighbourhood teams are conducting high visibility patrols, engaging with the community , and taking proactive action to deter offending and provide reassurance. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious behaviour.

This will remain a priority as the Darker nights give offenders different opportunities. Patrols and actions will continue and the Team will seek support of specialist teams to maximise the opportunities to catch offenders or provide reassurance

Working to ensure Halloween and Bonfire Night celebrations are enjoyed safely and responsibly

Coventry Police are working with the local authority, key stakeholders and community members to help ensure these celebrations are enjoyed safely and responsibly.

Neighbourhood officers will be out across the borough reassuring communities and preventing any behaviour that could put others at risk.

We will be working with licenced premises to ensure that safe securing of fireworks and appropriate selling is taking place.

Our Prevention Hub officers are working with schools to ensure that educational resources are delivered to schools to educate young people on the importance of staying safe across the period.
