Sutton Trinity

Business crime within Sutton Town centre including working with the Business Improvement District to identify repeat and prolific offenders and bring them to justice. Due to a recent rise in shop thefts a specific targeting of these offenders.

With the new Retail Crime Team, the team are working with them to identify repeat offenders and deal with the reported crimes in a timely manner to prevent further crimes from being committed. We are also in regular contact with Offend to Recovery and will be working closely with them to engage with local vulnerable people who are often responsible for a number of crimes.

Combat Anti-social behaviour within Sutton Town Centre through working with partner agencies including Birmingham City Council to address repeat ASB issues and utilise enforcement action on prolific offenders where appropriate

Working in partnership with the Safer Travel Team, Sutton Trinity officers have managed to identify a number of youths who have been causing asb in the town centre. As a result of obtaining details, we have managed to link them to criminal offences such as theft and deal with the crime accordingly and take positive action and detect crime.

Following information provided by local residents a number of areas have been identified as having issues with local youths causing anti social behaviour. These areas include Sutton Coldfield Town Centre and Falcon Lodge Estate and are now the focus areas for the Trinity Team to target and increase our patrols at key times.

Sutton Trinity are regularly completing high visibility patrols around the areas highlighted by local residents. This includes the local PCSOs conducting foot patrols around the town centre at key times before and after college/school in order to deter anti social behaviour. These patrols have helped to identify individuals involved and reduce the impact on the local community.
