Kingstanding

To work with Road Safety partners within West Midlands Police and outside agencies to promote safer roads in Kingstanding, especially around schools.

We regular hold community speed watch events within the Kingstanding area on roads which have been identified which road users use to speed. Additionally we have conducted joint operations around the Kingstanding circle with our traffic team and Perry Barr NHT team resulting in a number of drivers being warned, fined and prosecuted. We continue to conduct patrols around school times in order to ensure roads are safe for children coming and going to schools.

Ensure residents of Kingstanding feel safe and reassured in their lives by providing regular contact with their Neighbourhood Team and having officers be as visible as possible where needed.

Neighbourhood officers have been continuously engaged and visible within the community. Officers are regularly out in vehicles and bikes in order to act as a deterrent for any possible crime or anti social behaviour. We also continue with our cuppa with a coppa events and use this as a means to engage with our communities. We continue to work closely with council and other partner agencies to make streets safer.

Combat Anti-social behaviour within Wyrley Birch through working with partner agencies including Birmingham City Council to address repeat ASB issues and utilise enforcement action on prolific offenders where appropriate

ASB is a persistent issue within the Wyrley Birch with officers actively identifying and engaging with those involved in anti social behaviour and completing referrals and corrective measures in order to tackle these types of behaviours. We are continuing with community engagement in the form of cuppa with a coppa events and this will be ongoing. We have additionally started community pop up meetings at the leisure centre.
