Robbery is a key priority for our local officers, and ensuring that the City Centre is a safe environment for everyone motivates them.
Action taken:
Local officers including our Op Taurus Team are actively engaged in a number of overt and covert policing operations.
Utilising such skills as Servator; and working under the operation name ICEFORGE. They deploy on a daily basis in key locations.
We are further supported by our colleagues from the CID Robbery Team who are key stakeholders to ensure that our operational activities are driven through the criminal justice processes achieving the best outcome for the public.This is ongoing.

Action taken:
Reduce violence against women and girls in Birmingham City Centre by proactively identifying and targeting predatory offenders, using Op Vigilant tactics and partnership working to prevent offending, increase feelings of safety, and improve victim confidence in reporting.’

Warmer weather linked vehicle crime within Birmingham City Centre
Action taken:
Daily high-visibility patrols in hotspot car parks during peak offending times.
Plain clothes deployments using intelligence-led patrols to identify offenders targeting vehicles.
Deliver public engagement encouraging drivers to remove valuables, lock vehicles and report suspicious behaviour.
Promote reporting via 999 for crimes in progress and online reporting for intelligence.
