West Midlands Police Cadets
Our cadet scheme recruits 13-17 year olds from across the West Midlands. We encourage young people from all walks of life to join us.
As part of a national curriculum, cadets:
- learn about policing, including visits to departments
- learn new skills and help others
- volunteer in the community and help their own personal development
- take part in events such as Pride or Remembrance Day
All cadets are placed into cadet units. They meet once a week in the early evening school term time. There could also be events and other sessions during the school holidays and weekends.
We have cadet units in:
- Birmingham
- Coventry
- Dudley
- Sandwell
- Solihull
- Walsall
- Wolverhampton
How to apply
Our cadet scheme is currently paused, but we are still taking applications for our restart in January 2025.
You must live in one of these areas to apply to be a cadet. If you, or your child, would like to apply, email us. The link will open up a new email with our cadets’ email address.
