Two people are in police custody this morning, accused of stealing £15,000 worth of jewellery from a Wolverhampton shop.
Officers were called to a jewellers on Dudley Road, Blakenhall, at around 5.30pm yesterday where a man and woman were detained in connection with a report of theft.
The pair are accused of taking jewellery and attempting to leave without paying, however were unable to do so as the exit door was locked.
A man, aged 35, and a woman, aged 29, were brought into custody accused of theft, as well as a second count of theft relating to a similar incident in Wales last week.
The pair, from London, remain in policy custody this morning helping with enquiries.
