Nearly 300 vehicles were stopped and checked during a successful road traffic operation this weekend.
Officers from Coventry Local Policing Area, Roads Policing and Warwickshire Police joined forces in a proactive operation on 6 June.
The operation saw 290 vehicles stopped and checked over two sites: one in Bedworth and one in Coventry.
The vehicles were checked for safety, licensing and other motoring issues, with 10 vehicles seized for having no insurance or tax.

Along with this, there were traffic orders given out for seatbelt and phone offences and advice given around correcting tints and other vehicle defects.
There were also 22 drivers spoken to around their driving, seatbelt use, MOT issues and number plate offences.
Taking part in the operation were our special constables.
These volunteer officers work alongside our regular constables and have the same powers to arrest and uphold the law.

Special Inspector Scott Collen and Special Sergeant Chris Farren helped make sure the event was a success as we continue to make the roads safer alongside our neighbours in Warwickshire.
Taking part in frontline work, being a special constable can be what you make of it from ensuring public safety to preventing, tackling and investigating incidents, all while building positive relationships in the area you work in.
