A man’s been arrested by Operation Skybridge officers, who are continuing to help tackle vehicle crime in Birmingham.
Skybridge, our proactive crime-fighting team for the city, is currently deployed to the Soho Road and south Birmingham area – using high-visibility patrols and other tactics to target robbery, burglary, and vehicle crime.
The team are currently investigating a series of offences of taking items from vehicles, with bank cards being stolen from cars around south Birmingham on different nights during the last month.
Yesterday (15 June), a man aged 46, was arrested and remains in police custody being questioned on suspicion of theft from motor vehicles.
During searches, several bank and store cards in different names were found, and our investigation is continuing.
We know that vehicle crime has a real impact on people, and we have teams of officers across the whole of the West Midlands working together to bring those responsible to justice.
