This site is a beta, which means it's a work in progress and we'll be adding more to it over the next few weeks. Your feedback helps us make things better, so please let us know what you think.
From Monday 15 June to Friday 19 June, we are joining with other forces across the country to recognise the work of our neighbourhood teams in the National Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action.
This week we’ll be looking at the vital work carried out every day by our neighbourhood policing teams, volunteers and community partners who help keep our communities safe throughout the year.
You may not know just how much work goes on to help support local communities and keep people safe behind the scenes.
This week is an opportunity to really shine a light on the work carried out every day by our officers, staff, PCSOs and partners to look after our local communities.
A key focus of our neighbourhood teams is identifying and solving problems early on. This week we’ll be sharing some examples from across the West Midlands where teams have worked with their local communities to deal with some of the issues that affect them most.
We’ll also be looking at the importance of the work we do with our partners, whether that’s local authorities and councils, housing providers or local residents.
You can stay up to date with the information we will be sharing throughout the week by following #NeighbourhoodPolicingWeek across our social media.
We’ll also be using the national focus to raise awareness of how the public can keep updated on our work. This will include a focus on WMNow, our community messaging system which has over 123,000 people signed up.
We will also be encouraging those living and working in the West Midlands to use our Your Area feature to see what their local teams are working on, how they can get in touch and latest crime statistics.
