Investigation launched after two people injured in Solihull

We’ve arrested a man after two people were injured in #Solihull last night (31 May).

We were called to Barle Grove, in Smiths Wood to reports of gunshots being heard.

A 20 year old man was found with gunshot wounds in Rover Drive. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A second man aged 21 years attended hospital also with gunshot wounds and has since been released from hospital.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.

CCTV and forensic enquiries are underway and we’re carrying out house to house visits.

An investigation is underway and we would appeal to anyone with information to get in touch.

We will have officers in the area carrying out reassurance patrols over the next few days.
