We’re renewing our appeal to find a bike involved in a collision with a teenage boy in Castle Vale.
The 14-year-old was hit by the bike in Castle Vale Centre Park shortly before 8pm on Sunday (31 May) and was taken to hospital where he remains with serious injuries.
We understand the bike involved was a black and yellow off-road scrambler, and we are following several lines of enquiry to locate it.
Although the pictures we are releasing aren’t the clearest – any information could be vital to our investigation.
Det Sgt Rich Evans, from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: “Someone, somewhere must know something about this bike, and we are focussed on finding it as we continue our investigation.
“It may have been dumped or may be being stored.
“Any information, no matter how small, could be vital to our enquiries.
“Likewise, if anyone saw what happened, or has footage from around the area, please get in touch urgently.”
A 16-year-old boy who was arrested has been released on bail.
Should you have any information or footage that could help the investigation, contact us via Live Chat on our website or by calling 101 quoting log 4455 of 31 May.
You can also email SCIU directly on [email protected].
