A man and woman have spent the night in custody after officers spotted a car involved in previously ramming a police vehicle and discovered parts of a gun.
Patrolling PCs spotted the car in Tipton and found it to have been involved in the ramming a police vehicle earlier this month, (12 Feb) on Ednam Road, in Dudley.
Thankfully no police officers were hurt during the incident.
Upon spotting the car on Cobden Close, last night (25 Feb), shortly before 8.10pm, officers brought the vehicle to a stop and arrested a man and woman.
Officers detained the occupants for a search, and taking a closer look inside the car parts of a shotgun were located.
A man, aged 21, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to a vehicle and possession of a firearm.
A 21-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
They remain in custody as our enquiries continue.
