Two brothers will each spend the next eight years behind bars after they were jailed for their involvement in a county lines drug line.
The pair were rumbled by our County Lines Taskforce when they acted on information about the drugs line which was reported as supplying Class A drugs to large groups of people.
The ‘Kash Line’ had been operating for over a year supplying crack cocaine and heroin in the Wolverhampton area.
Investigations by the Taskforce found the line had been running from June 2024 to September 2025.
After examining phone records, we were able to link the brothers to multiple phones sending out bulk text messages and receiving countless calls in and out.
One phone was found to have sent out nearly 20,000 text messages and received over 21,000 calls. With the other phones also making and receiving thousands of texts and calls.
Akeam Khan aged, 27, of Bramdean Walk, Wolverhampton and 26-year-old Mohammed Shay Khan, of Warstones Gardens, Wolverhampton, were arrested after the team executed warrants at multiple address in September last year.
They both appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 10 February after both being charged with acquiring, possessing, criminal property, possession with intent to supply Class A Cocaine, Heroin and Crack Cocaine and supplying Class A Crack Cocaine, Heroin and Cannabis.
Each brother pleaded guilty and were both jailed for eight years.
Detective Constable Louise Ford, of our County Lines Taskforce, said: “Following a thorough investigation, a lot of CCTV work, and detailed examinations of the phones we were able to shut down the network and put the brothers before the courts for them to answer for their crimes.
“We know that County Lines networks impact our communities and fuel other crime. This is why we continue to work day in, day out, to stop those moving drugs throughout the West Midlands area and find those responsible to bring down drug lines.”
We’re running Operation Target as part of our work to take drugs off the streets and tackle organised crime. Find out more here: Operation Target | West Midlands Police
