Operation Skybridge: Five arrested after suspected stolen vehicle stopped

Our Skybridge team have arrested five teenagers and recovered a suspected stolen vehicle in Birmingham.

The Skybridge team were patrolling around Northfield yesterday (Sunday), where they spotted a group of people acting suspiciously in a car.

After the car failed to stop, officers later saw the group again on Open Field Close where they were detained following a short foot chase.

Five teenage boys aged between 14 and 18 years old, were all detained. Following checks by officers, the car was found to have been stolen earlier in the evening.

All five were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

A knife was also recovered from the car.

They remain in custody for questioning.
