Murder investigation launched after man's body found in Smethwick

We’ve arrested a man on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a body at an address on South Road, Smethwick.
The body was found just before 3.15pm yesterday, following a call from a member of the public.
The family of the man, who was in his 40s, have been informed, and our thoughts are with them today.
A short time later, a man aged 60 was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody today.
We are carrying out CCTV and house to house enquiries as we work to establish the full circumstances.
We would appeal for anyone with information, CCTV, mobile phone or dashcam footage from the area which may help our investigation to get in touch, quoting log 3109 of 6 August.
