A man’s been arrested and charged after we responded quickly to a reported burglary in Sutton Coldfield.
We were called by a resident on Walmley Road at around 6pm yesterday (20 August), to reports a man was trying to steal parcels from an address.
The victim was able to identify the man they believed was responsible and kept him in sight until officers arrived.
We responded quickly and arrested a man, with Neighbourhood Crime Officers picking up the investigation – reviewing CCTV and speaking to the victim.
Following enquiries, Arran Armit, age 47 from Sutton, was charged with burglary and is due at Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow (22 August).
We understand the negative impact parcel thefts have on people, and we have a range of tips on our website to help you keep deliveries safe.
