We’ve arrested and charged two men with supplying Class A drugs in three cities across the West Midlands.
Rahim Iqbal, aged 22 and Haseeb Khan, aged 19, both from Birmingham, appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court today (Wed) for a first hearing.
They were both charged with being concerned in the supply of crack-cocaine and heroin between 1 November last year and 13 April this year.
They were also charged with arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation between the same dates.
Their case was sent to Birmingham Crown Court where they will appear on 13 May.
The charges relate to a suspected County Lines drugs operation in Birmingham, Worcester and Leicester.
Our County Lines Taskforce received assistance from colleagues at both Leicestershire Police and West Mercia Police.
We're currently running Operation Target which sees us take a defiant stand against a range of serious and organised crime offences.
Officers use local intelligence, seize goods, carry out warrants and target offenders as part of Op Target’s ongoing crackdown against serious and organised crime.
