We have arrested four people this morning after our County Lines Taskforce carried out raids in Birmingham and Walsall.
They targeted two addresses in Handsworth - Putney Road and Crompton Road. A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
Officers also stopped a vehicle on Richards Street, Darlaston, where two men aged 20 and 48 were detained, and following searches they were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
The 20-year-old was also arrested for assaulting a police officer and possession of an offensive weapon.
Officers recovered a large amount of Class A drugs believed to be heroin, a large amount of cash, a rambo knife and multiple mobile phones believed to be linked to drug dealing.
A third warrant was carried out at an address on Walsall Road, Walsall, where a 46-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
We were also joined by PD Lucky, our drugs dog, who helped carry out searches at the addresses.
All four men remain in custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Mark Robinson, from our County Lines Taskforce, said: "This was a significant drugs operation known as the China line which operated across a large part of Birmingham trading in Class A drugs.
"We've arrested four people this morning in connection with the drugs line, and we continue to work around the clock to disrupt drugs networks across the West Midlands.”
