Supporting an International Women’s Day event, dealing with reports of anti-social behaviour, hosting a police surgery and assisting Speed Watch volunteers - it’s all in a week’s work for Walsall officers.
Andy Ryan, our Engagement and Consultation Officer, was assisted by officers from Delves neighbourhood team and our Problem Solving Team at a Walsall International Women’s Day hosted by One Walsall at Walsall Football Club.
It was a great opportunity to celebrate and promote women’s health and wellbeing. Our officers were on hand to talk about the work we are doing to help keep women and girls safe.
Officers in Blakenall were busy conducting patrols in response to reports of off-road bikes and also conducted enquiries in relation to ongoing anti-social behaviour in the Valley Road area of Blakenall.
Neighbourhood officers in Aldridge attended Aldridge Methodist Church to speak with members of the community, who made our officers feel really welcome.
Officers in our St Matthews’s town centre team joined a community Speed Watch on Birmingham Road. Five vehicles were caught above the speed limit with advisory letters now being sent to the registered keepers. They also hosted a police surgery at the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Caldmore where they were made to feel very welcome with some great engagement with the community who attended.
