A Solihull man has been charged with stealing a car in Shirley.
Eid Ajam is due to appear before magistrates charged with stealing a car from Sears Retail Park on 7 March.
The 19-year-old was arrested earlier today and remanded in custody before his hearing at Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow (15 March).
Sergeant Mark Heard from Solihull LPA said: "“This is the latest in a number of arrests we’ve made in Solihull for vehicle crime.
"We know how much of a negative effect car crime in particular has on our communities and we will continue to ensure it’s a priority across the borough.
"We have a number of operations taking place with both uniformed and plain clothes officers patrolling areas that have seen an increase in this area recently."
