Our Birmingham officers have been busy tackling crime across the city with a number of arrests, charges and seizures.
On Tuesday (11 Mar), officers from our Proactive Crime Team, Op Skybridge, arrested two men aged 23 and 30.
Hakar Berwari, 30, has now been charged with dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving without a licence, failing to stop, and obstructing police.
He will be appearing at Birmingham Magistrates Court on 6 April.
Sarwad Osman, 23, has been charged with possession of Class B drugs, and will be appearing at Birmingham Magistrates Court on 2 April.
Yesterday (Wednesday), officers from Op Skybridge arrested a 20-year-old man after a vehicle being driven suspiciously was stopped in Swarthmore Road, Birmingham.
Following a search, the man was found to be in possession of a knife - for which he was arrested.
Further searches were carried out at an address in Gregory Avenue, over £40,000 in cash was seized.
In Birmingham city centre, the neighbourhood team arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of armed robbery on Tuesday (11 Mar).
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged and appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court yesterday (Wednesday), where he pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery and possession of a bladed article.
The 15-year-old boy will next appear in court in April.
Op Skybridge officers continue to carry out proactive enforcement across Birmingham, where they target offenders and disrupt crime.
