Our officers in Dudley have been working hard with our Junior PCSOs in primary schools this week.
Halesowen Neighbourhood Team have conducted parking patrols outside Lutley Primary School with Junior PCSOs.
The team also completed their third session with Junior PCSOs at St Margaret’s Primary School.
The six week initiative with schools boosts children's confidence and self-esteem as well as helping the youngsters feel comfortable about approaching officers if they need advice or support.
Some of the topics the Junior PCSOs learn about include road safety, how to deal with bullying, the importance of online safety and knowing what to do about anti-social behaviour.
As well as engaging with our local communities, Dudley neighbourhood teams have seized vehicles for no tax and displaying false number plates.
In the early hours of this morning, Brierley Hill police officers spotted a vehicle driving dangerously.
When we stopped the vehicle, the driver and passenger were arrested for drink driving.
