A man remains in custody after another man was found dead at an address in Coventry yesterday afternoon.
Officers were called just before 2pm to Newcombe Road after two men were found with serious stab wounds inside an address.
When we arrived, tragically a man in his 50s was found dead.
A second man, also in his 50s, was found with potentially life changing facial injuries and was taken to hospital.
A 51-year-old man from Coventry was arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody for questioning.
A scene is still in place as we carry out forensic examinations and other enquiries. Officers will be carrying out additional patrols in the area to reassure and support the local community over the coming days and we urge anyone with concerns or information to contact us.
