Armed officers have arrested a man in south Birmingham, after shop staff reported being threatened with a machete.
We were called by staff at the store on Bristol Road South, just before midday yesterday (13 March), following reports items had been stolen.
Staff chased after a man on foot, and reported being threatened with a blade.
Firearms officers arrived at the location and found a man, aged 43, wanted for a number of offences, including theft, theft of a motor vehicle, and recall to prison.
He was arrested and will be returned to prison after he was wanted on recall for breaching his licence conditions.
We know how frustrating shop theft is for business owners, and the wider community, and we'll always look to identify and arrest suspects.
