Our neighbourhood teams in Wolverhampton have been busy this week with investigations and reassurance patrols following the murder of Neo Graham, which saw five men being charged at the weekend.
Bilston & East Park Police want to thank residents of Eastfield, Wolverhampton for their support whilst officers have been working there.
They also deployed the mobile police station in the area as officers provided reassurance to residents and some of that team have also been out at the town centre's boot sale.
We know that talking to our communities is key to understanding where there are concerns and looking at ways of offering support with issues.
Officers at Wednesfield & Heath Town Police have been continuing with high visibility anti-social behaviour patrols around the Crossways and Heath Town. They've previously issued Community Protection Notices to individuals who were causing a nuisance in the area but during these recent patrols no issues were reported and there was lots of community engagement.
The team also seized and recovered a stolen van which was displaying false plates thanks to information passed to us by an observant member of the public.
One of our PCSOs from Tettenhall, Penn & Merry Hill Police teamed up with colleagues from the public protection and trading standards departments at Wolverhampton City Council when the visited the Ukrainian Centre to offer advice about crime prevention and scams.
Residents are also being invited by Low Hill, Bushbury & Fallings Park Police to another 'Cuppa with a Copper' community meeting later this month at Long Knowle Library in Wood Road, on Monday, 31 March 10am to 12 pm, when they can talk through any issues or concerns they have.
