We’re investigating after a man was shot in Birmingham last night.
We were called to Lea Hall Road just after 10.20pm to reports that shots had been fired.
A short time later, a man arrived at a hospital in the city with gunshot wounds.
He remains in hospital today in a serious condition with injuries which are described as life-changing.
We are working hard to establish exactly what happened and who was responsible, and are carrying out CCTV and other enquiries.
We’ll be carrying out reassurance patrols in the area, and we’d urge anyone with concerns to speak to officers.
Anyone with information has been asked to get in touch via 101 or Live Chat on our website, quoting log 5885 of 11 March.
