A man is due in court this morning, accused of committing a series of thefts and robberies at shops across Dudley and Sandwell.
Martin Rollason was arrested by officers attending a report of a shop theft in Tipton on Monday afternoon.
The 38-year-old was brought into police custody where he was questioned on suspicion of other offences at One Stop stores in Dudley, Coseley, Tipton and Smethwick throughout January.
Following further enquiries, Rollason, if no fixed address, was charged with three counts of robbery, seven thefts from a shop and an offence of burglary.
We take robbery and retail crime very seriously and our teams regularly take part in high-visibility patrols and business engagement.
All reports are investigated and contribute to our wider work across the local area.
