Our Dudley Neighbourhood Teams have had a busy week dealing with vehicle crime.
We know it’s something that people are concerned about across the Dudley borough, and we’re committed to tackling it.
Earlier this week, a vehicle failed to stop for our Brierley Hill team. The team later found the vehicle, seized it, and reported the driver for several offences including driving without a licence.
A moped also failed to stop for officers, and it was later spotted by a member of the public. Our officers had a look and found two stolen bikes, both of which have now been recovered.
Dudley Town police seized a suspicious vehicle that had been abandoned in Halesowen, while the Halesowen team seized a vehicle in Belle Vale because it had no tax.
Another suspicious vehicle was spotted by the Brierley Hill team in Pensnett. The driver was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and weapons offences.
Problem parking has also been reported to officers, and the Halesowen team have been giving out fines to cars blocking the pavement around Halesowen and Cradley.
If there are issues concerning you in your area, our officers are often out and about at community engagement events. This week, Halesowen officers have been meeting residents at various events – including chatting with primary school children in a Junior PCSO lesson in Cradley.
