Our dedicated neighbourhood officers in Walsall have had another positive week seizing off-road bikes, joining Speedwatch volunteers, engaging with our junior PCSOs and visiting a local school.
Following complaints from residents over speeding on Mellish Road our St Matthew’s Team joined up with a Speedwatch group. A number of vehicles were seen driving over the 30mph limit, and their registration registered keepers will be sent letters.
Blakenall officers were invited to Croft Academy to meet pupils and staff. Officers commented on brilliant engagement with pupils while they were there and are looking forward to a return visit soon.
Our Bloxwich team teamed up with Abbey Primary School’s junior PCSOs for a joint litter pick, followed by a well-deserved presentation for the young officers who have now competed their Junior PCSO course.
The Willenhall neighbourhood team have been busy seizing vehicles including a stolen van and motorbike. They also seized a car involved in criminal activity and a quad bike which was being ridden in an anti-social manner and had no registration plate.
Our Brownhills team conducted patrols to prevent anti-social behaviour, liaised with councillors and members of the public and visited a vulnerable member of the community.
Aldridge neighbourhood officers also conducted high visibility patrols following vehicle thefts in the areas of Pelsall and Walsall Wood. We would urge people to ensure vehicles are locked and secured and disk steering wheels and faraday pouches are used.
