Plane crash in Ahmedabad
The UK is working with local authorities in India to urgently establish the facts and provide support to those involved.
Five men have been charged following warrants by our Major Crime Team and County Lines Taskforce, in support of Operation Fearless.
Officers carried out the warrants yesterday morning (29 April) at three addresses around Birmingham, in connection with the supply of drugs in the city.
The operation saw a large quantity of Class A drugs seized along with cash, mobile phones, and offensive weapons.
Five men, all from Birmingham, have now been charged in relation to this investigation:
All five were remanded in custody and are due before Birmingham Magistrates today.
Our County Lines Taskforce is committed to disrupting the supply of drugs in the West Midlands and is relentlessly targeting those suspected of involvement in it.
The raids came on the day we launched Operation Fearless in the Southside area of the city centre to tackle drugs, anti-social behaviour, retail crime and more.
Today Fearless officers are working with the Cranstoun charity to support vulnerable people in the city centre.
