We are investigating after a man was seriously injured following a collision in Handsworth last night.
It happened at around 6.30pm on Holyhead Road near to the junction with Clarence Road.
A police car and a number of other vehicles were involved in a collision.
A pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries after being hit with debris from the collision.
He remains in a stable condition.
A second pedestrian, a man in his 30s, also sustained injuries not believed to be serious.
A referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as is standard procedure in such circumstances.
