The data has been obtained by searching the Property Status field as ‘STOLEN’ and Property Description = ‘Mobile Phone’ and ‘Telephone’ for Offence Class THEFT FROM THE PERSON.
It is not mandatory to record property status and property description, and therefore, if this information has not been input by officers, it will not be recorded/ known to us or retrievable for the purposes of your request.
Therefore, figures provided are our best interpretation of data which has relevance to your request, but you should be aware that the collation of figures for ad hoc requests may have limitations and this should be considered when those data are used.
