West Midlands Police no longer occupy any part of Aldridge Police Station site / buildings.

The operational rationale for its closure
Aldridge ceased to operate as a Home Office designated 'Police Station' in 2014, following a review of public counters. The property was sold on 30 June 2025

The disposal of Aldridge has been a long standing plan featured as part of the Estates Strategy, which was created following an assessment of the estate demands to support the implementation of the force operating model which is led by the Chief Constable.
The planned disposal of Aldridge featured in the 2018, revised 2021 and the latest 2023 Estates Strategy which was positioned by West Midlands Police and endorsed by the PCC at the public Strategic Policing and Crime Board on 24th October 2023.
A copy of the latest 2023 Estates Strategy can be found on the Police and Crime Commissioners website. Decision notices relating to the disposal and subsequent sale of Aldridge are also public documents available on the PCC’s website.

The capital receipt generated from the sale of Aldridge Police Station is being reinvested into the force’s Estates Strategy through the funding of Capital refurbishment at other sites. (e.g. Dudley, Stechford, Wolves). This is as required through funding rules.

Reprovision was made by co-locating with the West Midlands Fire & Rescue Service at Aldridge Fire Station.
