Regarding your force’s use of the apprenticeship levy.
Please provide the following information for each of the financial years 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24:
- The total amount of apprenticeship levy paid by the force.
- The total amount of apprenticeship levy spent.
- The total amount of apprenticeship levy funds that expired or were returned to central government.
- A list of all apprenticeship standards funded using levy money during this period, including for each standard:
- The title of the apprenticeship standard
- The apprenticeship level
- The number of apprenticeship starts.
- Whether the force has a written apprenticeship levy or apprenticeship strategy in place (Yes/No). If yes, please provide the title and year of the document.

WMP will have utilised other government funding to pay for the apprentices by the government contribution when we had exhausted the levy in each of the below years particularly for PCDA students.
