Request 

1) Did your police staff get issued a platinum jubilee medal and/or the kings coronation medal.

2) Do Police staff get a long service medal. If so what does this look like and after how many years is this issued.

Response 

Please find enclosed our response. 

1) Did your police staff get issued a platinum jubilee medal and/or the kings coronation medal.

No, they were issued with a coin – with the same criteria as for the medal – 5 years or more service as of the day of the jubilee/coronation.

2) Do Police staff get a long service medal. If so what does this look like and after how many years is this issued.

No only Police Officers are awarded medals by the Crown.  Police Staff (including PCSO’s) who have completed 20, 30 and 40-years’ service are awarded a badge and certificate.
