Disorder arrests (FOI ref: 1797A/24)
Request
I would like information on the number of arrests related to the unrest and rioting following the Southport stabbings at the end of July.
I would like figures on:
- How many people your force has arrested in connection to the disorder.
- The age groups of those arrested (18 and over, 10 to 17, and those younger)
- The crimes these people were arrested for.
If possible, I would like these figures as a spreadsheet detailing each individual arrest with the above information. If this is not possible, please provide summary figures of the above.
I would also like these figures as of the latest possible day to respond to this freedom of information request – the 6th of December. This is because I am sending requests to multiple police forces and would like figures that are consistent across them. If this is not possible, please give the exact day the figures you are providing were sourced.

Please note that this data should be interpreted with caution. Comparing numbers of incidents/crimes can be misleading and does not necessarily indicate the likelihood of someone being a victim of crime. In addition, the number of incidents/crimes recorded in an area over a period of time can be influenced by a number of factors. Consequently, statistics on incidents/crimes for one period may not necessarily be a good indicator of future incidents in that area.
