Operation Encompass (FOI Ref: 1468A/24)

'On 24 May 2024 Royal Assent was granted to The Victims and Prisoners Act. The new Act placed Operation Encompass into Law and puts a statutory obligation on police forces to share Operation Encompass notifications with schools.'

1.  For each month of June, July and August 2024, please provide the number of Operation Encompass notifications you shared with Key Adults in educational and early years settings. 

  

2.  Please specify how many of the shared notifications in each month related to children in (i) educational and (ii) early years settings. 

  

3.  Please specify the number of children the shared notifications related to in each month.

I am writing to inform you that we have searched our records and the information you requested is not held by West Midlands Police. Partner agencies are responsible for selecting the relevant cases from MASH agendas that they wish to share. Therefore, we would recommend instead submitting this FOI request to the Local Authorities.
